Frequently Asked Questions

Can I contact you if I have questions during our project relationship?

Absolutely! You can always email or call us with any questions or concerns.

Office: 312-869-2412  //  Email: projects@indigoinkdesigns.com.

Can I provide my own contractor?

Yes….however. We have built long-lasting trustworthy relationships with our contractor(s), therefore, we highly recommend our contractors. However, if you have a contractor you trust, we are willing to work with your contractor, or to provide plans for you to provide to your contractor.

Can I buy things not specified in the design?

It’s your home, of course, you can buy things you love! However, please trust that we are working diligently to create a total package; a beautiful design with details thought out from the structure, down to the pillows! We take your visions and work carefully curated items into the overall design. Here is a great blog post if you would like to read more about the full scope of a designer’s BTS involvement.

Do you offer discounts?

By working with a designer, you have access to specialty and to-the-trade-only products, not found by a Google search (at all price points!). We offer discounts on some product lines when you order through us. If the overall project costs are too great for you at one time, we can work to break the project down into phases, without compromising the quality of our design, or your home.

Will you be available for questions or revisions after the construction phase begins?

Though we’ve worked through the design process many times, each project is still unique. Particularly with renovations of existing homes, it is inevitable that unexpected issues arise once the layers are peeled back. It is our job to help you navigate the process, and work with the builder to make adjustments as necessary to the design, in order to maintain the design integrity and intervene by making decisions that ensure the outcome is the most beautiful and functional home in the end.
